The sun is shining, people are smiling, and it’s peak Chicago festival season. June is a busy month for street festivals, and that means there are plenty of food-related events to keep your summer busy. From Greek food and hot dogs to bloody marys and wine, what isn’t there to eat or drink this month in Chicago and the suburbs? Beginning Thursday, June 1 through Thursday, September 21 | Jens Jensen Park, Highland Park
More than a dozen rotating food trucks visit Dean Avenue in Highland Park every Thursday during the summer. Bring your own picnic blanket and chairs and dine alfresco.

Thursday, June 1 through Sunday, June 4 | Lincoln Square (Lincoln and Leland Avenues)
Celebrate German food, culture, and, of course, beer with this annual Lincoln Square tradition. Plenty of music, dancing, and lederhosen-style merriment will also be on tap.

Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4 | St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave.
St. George Greek Orthodox Church is keeping up its annual tradition with this festival that invites you to “be Greek for a day.” The Lincoln Park event features lots of Greek food, music, dancing, and culture.

Beginning Saturday, June 3 through Saturday, October 7 | Manuel Perez Memorial Plaza, 4345 W. 26th St.
This weekly farmers market returns to Little Village in June and runs through October 7.

Beginning Saturday, June 3 through Saturday, October 7 | 3601 W. Chicago Ave.
This weekly farmers market returns to West Humboldt Park in June and runs through October 7.

Saturday June 3 and Sunday, June 4 | 4000 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Some of the Chicago area’s top hot dog stands will compete for who has the best hot dog at this second annual festival. In addition to the frankfurters, there will also be music, crafts, and other entertainment.

Friday, June 9 through Sunday, June 11 | St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St.
There’s another Greek festival in Chicago in June, this time in the Lincoln Square community. This one promises authentic Greek food, pastries, and spirits, in addition to live music and dancing.

Saturday, June 10 | Grant Park
This music and art festival has a focus on food — particularly animal-free food. There will be over 150 vegan vendors, with vegan hot dogs, pizza, baked goods, and more.

Sunday, June 11 | Highwood, Everts Park, 111 North Ave.
Highwood’s annual bloody mary festival returns for its 12th year, with vendors competing for who makes the best bloody mary.

Friday, June 16 through Sunday, June 18 | West Loop, 900 W. Randolph St.
Get a taste of 16 different West Loop restaurants at the 26th annual Taste of Randolph street festival. Feast while you enjoy house music, as well as other up and coming artists.

Sunday, June 18 | Wheaton, Cantigny Park
Kick back and relax at Wheaton’s Jazz and Wine Fest, with five live jazz acts set on two different stages and ten wine sampling stations.

Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25 | Historic Downtown Long Grove, 308 Old McHenry Rd.
This strawberry-focused festival features all kinds of food and drinks infused with the fruit, but it will also have plenty of other food vendors. Live music, carnival rides, and family-friendly activities will also be available.

Saturday, June 24 | Humboldt Park
This neighborhood-centric, more petite version of the larger Taste of Chicago Festival (which was pushed back until September this year) will take place in Humboldt Park with plenty of vendors that flaunt the city’s culinary prowess.
