Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has emerged as a summer transfer option for Italian giants AC Milan, according to reports.

The USA international has fallen out of favour at Chelsea following their lucrative spending during the season and scored just one goal in Premier League this year.

The 24-year-old’s deal at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of next summer and, with no contract negotiations planned, could result in his sale this year.

According to Gianluca DiMarzio, Serie A giants AC Milan have identified the winger as a potential transfer option in summer.

The Rossoneri are looking to bolster their attacking option in the transfer window and see the out-of-favour Chelsea star as a viable option.

Recent reports suggest that Brahim Diaz – who had been on loan at Milan from Real Madrid – will not return to the club next season, leaving a gap in their attack.

Pulisic, who has seldom been a consistent starter for the Blues, had recently been encouraged to leave Chelsea by pundits Micah Richard and Jamie Carragher.

The USA star made 24 appearances in the English top-flight but only featured in the starting line-up in eight of those, scoring once and providing one assist.

It was a significant drop-off from his six goals and two assists in the season prior, showing how he’s fallen out of favour with Chelsea’s bosses.

During Graham Potter’s 31 matches in charge of the club, the American star was selected 18 times – showing the coach’s lack of belief in the winger.

During his four years at Chelsea, the winger has made 145 appearances and recorded 26 goals and 21 assists during that time.

He was part of Chelsea’s Champions League winning squad in 2020-21 and also won the UEFA Super Cup shortly after.
