Bonnie and Clyde and Macbeth amid Norwich Theatre new shows

On May 26, people will be able to purchase tickets for new shows at Norwich Theatre Royal, Norwich Theatre Playhouse and Stage Two.

The theatre company is now putting shows on sale in the final week of every month and the new pattern will be Monday for Gold Friends, Supporters and Corporates, Wednesday for Friends and Best Friends and Friday for general sale. 

Here are some of the shows at Norwich Theatre Royal which are about to go on sale. 

Tubular Bells – October 1, 2023

One of the most groundbreaking albums of all time, Tubular Bells, will be presented live with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra this autumn ahead of the album’s 50th anniversary.

SIX – February 20 to 24, 2024

From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power.

Jesus Christ Superstar – April 8 to 13, 2024

With 1970s Rock Opera, watch the extraordinary events that take place on the final weeks of Jesus’s life through the eyes of Judas, before Jesus’ crucifixion.

Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet: A Shakespeare Double Bill – July 23, 2023

Watson: The Final Problem – June 26, 2023

A Sherlock Holmes tale of long-buried secrets, betrayal and death set in 1894. Watson is alone, with Sherlock Holmes and Mary both gone.

Gareth Gates in The Best of Frankie Valli – January 23 to 24, 2024

Gareth Gates joins cast members from the smash-hit Tony award-winning musical Jersey Boys and other hit West End shows for a celebration of timeless music from one of the biggest-selling groups of all time.

The King of Nothing – October 26, 2023

A puppet musical inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes. King Reginald is a ruler who likes to keep in style, but the fashions change so fast. He’s afraid he can’t keep up.

Hearing of the King’s predicament, two fast-talking “weavers” head to the palace with their brand new fabric: it’s “smart”, and it’s “in” and it never goes out of fashion.

Soon the Kingdom is alive with talk of the magical cloth, and Reginald can’t wait to wear his new suit to the Big Parade. But what are these weavers really spinning?
