Cambridge road reopens after lorry hits railway bridge

Inrix, the traffic data company, said:

Coldhams Lane in both directions closed, slow traffic due to overturned lorry from A1134 Barnwell Road to Nuttings Road.

Photos on social media show the lorry has overturned and slid underneath the railway bridge.”

Traffic is continuing to move slowly in the area. The road is set to remain shut for several hours. The lorry is on its side.

The lorry is on its side under the bridge on Coldham’s Lane, Cambridge.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:

Coldham’s Lane in Cambridge is currently closed due to a road traffic collision under the railway bridge It’s likely to be closed for a few hours, so please check your route before you travel.”
