Celebrity chef Curtis Stone reveals the eye-watering amount he spent in Beverley Hills salon

Curtis Stone has revealed he recently spent an eye-watering $700 on a haircut.

The 47-year-old celebrity chef is based in Los Angeles and said he outlaid the whopping sum at a Beverly Hills salon after his wife, Lindsay Price, told him to get a trim.

Appearing on Nova’s Fitzy, Wippa and Kate Ritchie breakfast show on Thursday, Curtis admitted that Lindsay, former star of the classic 90210 TV series, was ‘bored’ with his old style.

‘She told me you ”can’t have the same hair cut your whole life, you’ve got to do something different,’ Curtis shared. 

The MasterChef favourite went on to say that Lindsay eventually booked him into the salon she uses to get her hair done.

He then revealed it took hairdressers five hours to perfect his new look.

‘I had a different person to colour it, a different person to get my coffee, a different person to brush it and shampoo it, a different person to bleach it, and a different person to cut it,’ he said.

‘It was $700,’ he continued, ‘I called her (Lindsay) in the car on the way home, and asked her, “what does it cost you to get your hair cut?”, and then I stopped her, and told her ”I don’t wanna know”.’

The Nova breakfast team later shared a video of Curtis’ interview to their social media, with the caption: ‘We’re obsessed with Curtis Stone’s hair’.

The Melbourne born brunette’s new cut features a swept-back look, with blond high-lights, trimmed side-burns and sculptured side part.

‘Lookin’ sharp,’ Fitzy, Wippa and Kate messaged Curtis on the post, while many other followers post their support for the culinary expert’s new style.

‘His hair looks great but $700! Wtf!,’ one fan shared, before adding: ‘I’ll make his coffee and wash his hair for free.’

Another added: ‘Always had great hair, no matter what the style.’ 

Curtis has been married to Beverly Hills 90210 star Lindsay Price since 2013 and they share sons Hudson and Emerson.
