Cleethorpes Armed Forces Weekend 2023 entertainment times including choirs, bands and displays
Thousands of people are expected to flock to North East Lincolnshire’s annual Armed Forces Weekend. And there will be plenty to keep the crowds entertained – from choir and band performances to laser lights and the traditional flying displays.
The free family event will take place across the central and seafront areas of Cleethorpes this weekend. Activities will be split between the main stage at the Armed Forces Memorial and the Boating Lake.
Timings for the stages have now been finalised, but this remains subject to changes on the day. Read on to find out what’s on and where throughout the celebrations from June 16-18.

Friday, June 16
Main stage: (from 1.30pm until the Carnival parade, and then from 8pm to 10pm)
- 1.30pm Linkage College Choir
- 2.15pm and 3.10pm Cleethorpes Academy Choir
- 4pm: Memory Lane Choir
- 4.45pm: MAK & Co
Evening entertainment
- 8pm: Ever
- 9pm: Dangerous Brothers Grimsby
Saturday, June 17
Main stage / roundabout area at the Remembrance Gate: (at various points in the day from 11am onwards)
After the parade:
- 1.40pm: Amy Hallett
- 2.25pm: All 4 One Choir
- 3.10pm: RAFC Band
- 4.50pm: RAF Waddington Pipe Band
- 5.20pm: Megan Curry
- 6.30pm: Sunset Parade at the roundabout
Evening entertainment:
- 7.15pm: Hudson Lewis
- 8.15pm: Lost by Eleven
- 9.15pm: International Singer Becci Morrell accompanied by local band KICK
Boating Lake stage at the Signal Box Inn (entertainment from 12noon to 9.45pm)

- 1pm and 2pm: Cat Kids theatre school

Sunday, June 18
Main stage area / roundabout area at the Remembrance Gate (at various points in the day from 1pm onwards)
- 1.20pm: Grimsby and District Pipe Band including the RAF Cadet new banner parade
- 3pm: Megan Curry
- 3.45pm Grimsby and District Pipe Band
Boating Lake stage at the Signal Box Inn (entertainment from 12 noon to 9.45pm) Acts start on the hour.
- 12noon: Steve Turner
- 1pm: Lonerz Indie Rock Band
- 2pm: Peter Keaveney
- 3pm: Ever Indie Band
- 4pm: Mini Floyd
Here are the other events taking place across the weekend, away from the stages. The Cleethorpes Carnival is returning as part of the celebrations.
Friday, June 16
- Midday: trade areas open at Pier Gardens and Lower Kingsway
- 1.30pm onwards: community groups will take to the main stage at the Armed Forces Memorial Gate with the evening being rounded off with live bands.
- 6pm – 8pm: Cleethorpes Community Carnival: will set off from Grant Street Car Park around 6pm, taking in Alexandra Road, High Cliff Road and finishing near Cromwell Road.
- 12noon-5pm: Ground displays and trade open in the Boating Lake
Saturday, June 17
- 10am: trade areas open
- Armed Forces Memorial Gate Entertainment stage: various acts will take to the stage through the day
- 12.30am to 5pm: Various flying displays from will be over the central beach.
- 1pm: The main parade of vehicles and serving and former military personnel (Grant Street to Cromwell Road)
- 10am to 5pm: Ground-based displays open in the Boating Lake
- Around 3pm: Mounted display troop of 16th Lancers – Boating Lake paddock
- 6.30pm: Sunset parade at the Armed Forces Memorial Gate
- Approx 1030: Laser light display
Sunday, June 18
- 10am to 5pm: trade areas open
- 1pm to 4.30pm: Flying displays at the central beach
- 10am to 5pm: Ground-based displays in the Boating Lake
- 11am and 2pm: Mounted display troop of 16th Lancers – Boating Lake paddock
