Peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Aden Court Rest Home. Annie, aged 88 years of Netherton. Beloved wife of Alan, much loved mum of Jane and Julie and mum-in-law of Paul and Andrew. Cherished grandma of Sophie, Olivia and Holly.
A true and trusted friend to many, Annie will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral service to take place on Thursday June 29, Huddersfield Crematorium at 2:45pm.

Jean Maureen Tyas
On May 28, 2023, at her home in Scissett. Maureen Tyas aged 87 years, the dearly loved wife of David, the much loved mum of Susan and Karen, mother in law of Kelvin and Mark, a dear nanna of Sarah, Jonathan, Catherine and Peter and loving great nanna of Harriet, Penny, Rohan, Toby and Joey.
Will friends please meet for service at Wakefield Crematorium at 12.40pm on Friday, June 23. Timothy Peter Howes
(Tim) Peacefully at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary on June 7 with his family by his side. The dearly loved husband of Anne. Devoted and proud dad and grandpa.

(Nee Gilray) Peacefully on the June 6, 2023, Julie aged 62 years of Rawthorpe. Devoted Mum of Joanne and Jamie, dear Mother-in-law of Rob, cherished Nanna of Cameron, Hugo and Theo also a sadly missed twin Sister of Wacker, Sister of Susan and Christine, Sister-In-law of Sandra, furry Mum of Toby and a good friend to all who knew her.

Margaret Betty Thornton
On June 14, 2023 suddenly but peacefully at home aged 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Thornton, mother of Rebecca, Jane, Jonathan and James, mother-in-law of Andrew and Jan, a dear grandmother and great-grandmother.
Following a private committal at Huddersfield Crematorium, a service of thanksgiving will be held at All Hallows’ Church, Almondbury on Tuesday July 11 at 12.15pm. Family flowers only please, but donations may be given to the All Hallows’ Church Fund.

George Cecil Mudd
On June 17, 2023, peacefully after a short illness, at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary George aged 94 years of Holmfirth. The beloved husband of the late Jane, much loved dad of Paul and Philip, a proud grandad, great grandad, uncle and great uncle.
George was a former Director of Engineering at David Brown Gears, Lockwood and long-time golfer and bridge player at Meltham Golf Club. Funeral service at Huddersfield Crematorium on Monday, June 26 at 9.30am.

Judith Anne Airey
On 8th June 2023, peacefully at home with family, aged 76 years. The much loved wife of Howard. Loving mum of James and Robert, mother-in-law of Janet. A special nan of Sam, Amy and Millie. Annie Teresa Bergin
On 9th June 2023 following a short illness, Anne passed away peacefully aged 95 years at Aden Court Care Home. Beloved wife of the late Joseph, dearest mother of James, Malcolm and Paul, a cherished mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all.
The funeral service will be held at St Joseph’s RC Church, Aspley, Huddersfield on Wednesday 5th July at 12 noon. Followed by committal at Huddersfield Crematorium, Fixby at 1.15pm. Esmond Micah Bristol
It is with great sadness that the family of Mr Esmond Micah Bristol announces his passing, following an illness, on May 28th 2023, at the age of 63 years. Esmond passed away peacefully at Kirkwood Hospice, Huddersfield, and will be lovingly remembered by Wilma, his four children, Naomi, Miriam, Esmond Jnr, and Shaun, his two grand-children, Romero and Faith, his mother, Agnes (Theodora), his three siblings, Samuel, Judith and Brian and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and his many cousins and friends.
Esmond loved reggae music and was a member of the Twelve Tribes organisation. He played guitar in a band. The funeral service will be held at St John, The Evangelist, Birkby, St John’s Rd, at 11am, on Monday the 3rd July 2023. All who knew him are welcome to attend.
Kathryn Louise Emerson
23rd March 1966 – 19th June 2023 Kathryn, aged 57 and of Fartown, passed away peacefully at HRI after a short illness. Loving daughter of Sheila, sister of Deborah and Ian and a good friend to all those who knew her. She will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium on Friday 7th July 2023 at 9:30. Family flowers only, donations may be made in lieu to British Liver Trust, after the service. Can all friends meet at the crematorium and cheerful colours to be worn please.
Mandy Gale
On 22nd June 2023, peacefully under the excellent care of Kirkwood Hospice, Mandy aged 61 years of Holmfirth. Dearly loved and bossy sister of Robert and Teresa, much loved sister in law of Kevin, a loved auntie and good friend to many.

23rd September 1966 – 26th May 2023 Sandra, of Fartown, sadly passed away, aged 56 years. Sandra, wife of Buju, the much loved mum of Daniel and Nathan, proud nanna of 10, also a beloved daughter, sister, aunty and a good friend to many.
A funeral service in celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at Christ Church, Woodhouse at 11:30am on Friday 30th June followed by interment at the Hey Lane Cemetery, Castle Hill. Gerald Hawthornthwaite
On 12th June 2023 Peacefully at his home in Shelley after a short illness. Gerald Hawthornthwaite aged 95 years, the dearly loved husband of Tessa, much loved dad of Melanie and Clive, dear father in law of John and Julie, loving grandad to Lizzie, Joe, Jake and Tom, brother in law of Jim and Pat and the late Lorraine and Peter, a dear uncle, great uncle and a good friend.

Peacefully on Friday 16th June, aged 74 years at Calderdale Royal Hospital after a long illness. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean and much loved dad to Claire, Jez and Jonathan also a proud grandad to Lauren, Luke and Alfie.

22nd February 1945 – 1st June 2023 John, of Sheepridge, passed away peacefully after a long illness, aged 78 years. John, father of Joe, brother of David and a good friend to many. Passed away peacefully on Friday 9th June at Overgate Hospice, aged 89 Years. Devoted Husband to the late Audrey, dearly loved Father to Anthony and Judith and Father-in-law to Katherine. A treasured Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Also, a dear Brother to Flow, Uncle and friend.

Marjorie Sykes
It is with great sadness that the Sykes family wish to announce that Marjorie Vivienne Sykes (née Robinson) of Fenay Bridge, died peacefully with her beloved husband Peter and daughters Joanna and Philippa at her side, on Sunday 11th June 2023 in Torquay, Devon after a short illness.
