Devon death and funeral notices: Tributes to brave Exeter dad who battled illness

In this week’s death and funeral notices, more than 60 tributes have been paid to people from Devon who have died recently. Among them is Stephen Purchase from Exeter who died at the age of 53 after an illness, which his family says he faced “with incredible bravery”.

Every week, we carry out the longstanding tradition in local media announcing the deaths of people in our communities. Recently, the family of Michael ‘Budgie’ Saunders from North Devon paid tribute to him after he died at the age of 69, describing him as a “loving husband” and a “much loved” dad and grandad.

The death and funeral notices, in memoriams and acknowledgements are first published to funeral-notices.co.uk. They remain online permanently, providing loved ones with a space to add their own tributes, photos and donations.

The most up to date death and funeral notices can be found here.
