The air is thick, and Environment Canada is warning residents in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
The national weather agency issued an updated Special Air Quality Statement regarding the wildfire smoke blanketing Halton, with warnings to “pay attention” and “evacuate if told to do so.”

TRAFFIC
No major issues on the QEW, Highway 403 or Highway 401. Several closures in Burlington and Milton on QEW and Highway 403 along with Highway 401 June 3-9 trigger traffic warnings to drivers.

GO TRANSIT
Milton GO: Upgrades at Union Station starting Monday, June 19 mean morning trains to Union will leave three minutes earlier than scheduled at Milton GO and evening trains will leave Union Station at their current scheduled time, arriving at all line stops three minutes later.

June 9 -11: Plan ahead if travelling to downtown Toronto or Niagara Falls as GO train service will run between Oakville GO and Union Station only. Niagara trains end at Aldershot GO.
