Everton among four interested in Sunderland’s Jack Clarke

Everton are among the clubs eyeing the “most in-demand” forward in the Championship as Sunderland’s Jack Clarke faces speculation.

According to the i, the Blues are interested in the Black Cats attacker after he flourished for Tony Mowbray as they reached the playoff semi-finals.

However, it won’t be a smooth ride as per the report as Crystal Palace, Brentford and Burnley all chasing his signature.

It’s been reported that scouts are paying attention to the former Spurs youngster and Everton, Palace, the Bees and Clarets are targeting the winger. Offers north of £15m will “prompt a conversation”, it has been reported.

Three clubs rival Everton for Jean-Phillipe Mateta

Everton are not alone in the race to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta according to reports in France.

So Foot are suggesting that the towering forward is wanted by Torino, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven ahead of a summer move.

It’s been suggested that the Frenchman is unhappy at Selhurst Park and he is looking to “relaunch himself”. According to the French outlet, all three of the aforementioned clubs rivalling the Blues have inquired about the 25-year-old.

Beto and Moussa Dembele linked with Everton

Everton had prepared two shortlists for the summer in the event the club suffered relegation, according to The Athletic’s Patrick Boyland.

They managed to avoid the drop and now their focus is now fixed on moving up the Premier League table.

In the report from The Athletic, they are long-term admirers of Udinese striker Beto and Moussa Dembele – who was heavily linked in January – will be a free agent at the end of the month.

It continues to say that Che Adams is also a known target following their pursuit of the Southampton forward, while Tyrese Campbell could be set for a move away from Stoke City and has attracted interest from top-flight clubs.

Everton could eye Wout Weghorst after Manchester United loan

Everton are reportedly going to give Wout Weghorst a Premier League lifeline as they express ‘interest’ in signing the Dutch forward.

He has spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Manchester United but his return has been underwhelming after struggling to find the back of the net for Erik ten Hag’s side.

As a result, the Red Devils will not make the move permanent leaving the striker’s future in limbo. According to talkSPORT via the Mirror, the Blues could make a move for the towering forward in a bid to bolster their forward line.

Everton ‘target’ Tammy Abraham suffers long-term blow

Reported Everton target Tammy Abraham faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an ACL injury for Roma.

The Englishman was carted off in a medical car during Roma’s final day win in the Serie A.

It has been claimed that he could miss up to six months after the diagnosis came back as an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, according to Sky Italia via the Daily Mail.

The injury occurred as his left leg buckled during a challenge for the ball.

Jean-Philippe Mateta ‘wants to leave’ Crystal Palace

Jean-Philippe Mateta is keen to leave Crystal Palace this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to Everton.

The ECHO understands the forward has grown frustrated with his lack of game time at Selhurst Park and is keen to depart either on loan or permanently. The 25-year-old started just six games in the Premier League this season.

Reports from Europe have linked Everton with a move for the forward in recent days, and the ECHO understands that a fee of around £10m would be required to secure the services of Mateta on a permanent basis. The Frenchman has already had offers from clubs in Europe but is keen to remain in the Premier League.

Everton ‘keen’ on Amad

Everton are reportedly among the names looking to sign Amad Diallo on loan from Manchester United.

The Ivorian continued his development in English football in the Championship last season and enjoyed a fruitful spell with Sunderland as he helped inspire the Black Cats to the playoffs.

Although they ultimately fell short to eventual winners Luton Town, Amad added a number of a strings to his bow and showed his beaming quality with some standout moments.

The Northern ECHO are reporting that Sunderland could face a setback in their attempts to bring him back to the Stadium of Light.

West Ham are said to be lining up a move but the Blues are also interested. Burnley are said to be keeping an eye on the situation as they look to the loan market.
