Before the Premier League season commences on the weekend of August 12, every club has a different way of building up to the big kick-off. Some are jet-setting around the globe, playing lucrative pre-season friendlies, with six playing in the Premier League Summer Series in the United States. Others, like Everton and Sheffield United, are staying closer to home.

Burnley
The Premier League new boys have not announced any friendlies yet but Vincent Kompany had some of his players commence pre-season training on June 5. The current group flew to Portugal for an eight-day training camp, after which they will be given a 10-day break. Then, on June 26, they will return with the international players and pre-season will recommence, with a second trip to Portugal in the pipeline.
