Four Lyme Regis bowlers selected for county

A TEAM of four of Lyme Regis Bowling Cub’s  best bowlers – Paul Pomeroy, Barry Rattenbury, Steve Pomeroy and Paul Moffitt -qualified to represent Dorset at Leamington in the County Men’s Fours

 BIG BOWLS WEEKEND

The club held an open day onSaturday as part of the Big Bowls Weekend initiative, was a countrywide opportunity for members of the public to find out about the sport at no cost.  Bowls equipment was provided by the club and members volunteered to assist and instruct in a relaxed, informal setting.  The event generated at least seven new applications for membership and all agreed it was a very enjoyable and worthwhile day for the Lyme Regis Bowling Club.

This year the club visited Sidmouth early in the season and Sidmouth will visit Lyme in August. The Lyme club had a full complement of six teams on a warm day.  The green was dry and quick and the back ditch was easily in reach!
