French Restaurant Named A Best On Cape Cod
When you think of food on Cape Cod, your mind would most likely go to lobster rolls, fried clams or ice cream. You wouldn’t be wrong. However, a French establishment was recently named a top restaurant on Cape Cod.
Family Travel Magazine inspires family adventures by often highlighting some of the best attractions in vacation areas. Recently, they listed the best restaurants on the Cape as we kick off the summer season this week.
While the majority of the list does highlight seafood places, the first restaurant featured is more non-traditional. In fact, it may not be the most family-friendly on the list, but it does offer a unique cuisine for the area.
Bleu
“Francophiles agree that dining at Bleu is like being in France. No passport needed,” is the first thing you are greeted with upon visiting BleuRestaurant.com. Located on Market St. in the Mashpee Commons, Bleu is an elegant dining experience. They offer an upscale ambiance. Furthermore, Bleu is owned by Frederic Feufeu, a renowned chef from the Loire Valley in Central France. Feufeu is bringing French culture to Cape Cod with his creations.
The Menu
Whether you are dining for lunch, dinner, or brunch, Bleu always serves one of their house favorites, the duck confit. An array of light French appetizers like warm brie or tuna tartar are offered to start your experience. Then, “Les Poissons” is where you will find the seafood dishes. Fish and scallop options are beautifully designed and flavored with traditional French flavors.
Next, the “Les Viandes” meat section gives you the choice of chicken, duck, or filet mignon “au Poivre.” These plates range from $25-$49. Each has an artisanal design that looks as good as it tastes.
So, if you want an upscale dining experience on Cape Cod this summer, this French restaurant named best on Cape Cod is a good choice.
