The first new route was launched two days ago on June 16th, when the budget carrier began non-stop flight services from Chicago Midway International Airport to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. This new flight service, F9 1786 and F9 1787, is currently scheduled with a four-times-weekly frequency on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

With the new non-stop service, Frontier Airlines will serve a total of 13 non-stop destinations from Chicago Midway International Airport, as celebrated by Senior Vice President of Commercial at the airline, Daniel Shurz, as he highlighted the following:

“Our growth at Chicago Midway continues, and we couldn’t be more excited. Chicagoans now have an easy and affordable way to reach Raleigh-Durham via Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right.’”

While the airline launched a new route that connects Chicago with Raleigh, another new route will be inaugurated today to see Raleigh-Durham International Airport connecting with Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Scheduled as Frontier Airlines flight F9 1619, the inaugural flight is expected to take-off from Raleigh at approximately 10:49,

The return flight, F9 1618, is scheduled to depart from Houston at around 13:15. Unlike the Chicago-Raleigh route, flight services between Raleigh and Houston will operate thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Passengers can also expect early morning departures from Raleigh to allow for mid to late-morning arrivals in Houston.

But just like the Chicago-Raleigh route, Frontier Airlines will also deploy its Airbus A320neo fleet for this new non-stop flight service, offering passengers an estimated 558 seats to Houston weekly. With the new service, the budget carrier serves a total of 20 non-stop destinations from Raleigh-Durham International Airport, as further emphasized by Shurz:

Bottom line

These two new routes are further proof of Frontier Airlines’ significant expansion efforts this month alone, joining some network additions like the Orlando-St. Maarten route, Cleveland-San Diego, and Cleveland-San Francisco routes. And as June gradually passes, the ultra-low-cost carrier will certainly have even more new routes just waiting to be launched and inaugurated.
