Gabby Agbonlahor has named his flop team of the season

The likes of Fabinho and Antony didn’t escape the brutal put downs of Gabby Agbonlahor as the talkSPORT pundit names his ‘Flop team of the season’ live on air.

The former Aston Villa star has become renowned for his outspoken opinions, many of which have prompted backlashes from listeners and at times, even current professional players and managers. The 36-year-old has been engaged in an ongoing feud with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp this season, which began in August ahead of the game between the Reds and Man United at Old Trafford.

But it hasn’t stopped him speaking his mind and naming the 11 players he believes have had nightmare campaigns. Quite what is hisa intended formation is in this unusual selection mind, is anybody’s guess.

Goalkeeper and defenders: Danny Ward (Leicester), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea), Davinson Sanchez (Spurs)

Explaining his choices, he ranted: ” Danny Ward in goal, I think he’s been poor. I think Alan Brazil could probably score past him at this time of his life. Cucurella, very very poor season, came in for £62 million. On the ball, technically, not very good.

“Davison Sanchez, every game I’ve watched him he’s had a mistake. I’ve been in here with Jamie O’Hara and he’s been nearly crying, real tears, at how bad he’s been. Mistake.com.”

Midfielders: Youri Tielemans (Leicester City), Fabinho (Liverpool), Weston Mckennie (Leeds United), Joao Felix (Chelsea)

“I’m gonna go with Tielemans, downed tools in the last year of his contract and hasn’t been the player that we’ve seen in the last five or six years. Hasn’t been interested in the second half of the season. Fabinho – high standards at Liverpool since he’s been there, watched him a lot this season, looks like his legs have gone and not the player he used to be.
