The Boston Celtics again avoided elimination by handily winning Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, cutting the Miami Heat lead to 3–2.

Is it time for the Heat and their backers to get nervous about winning this series?

Momentum has shifted back to the team in green after big wins in Games 4 and 5, and so has the betting.

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics’ chances of winning the series narrowed again after Thursday’s 110-97 victory, going from +240 to +110 (bet $100 to win $210 in total). On the other hand, the Heat series odds changed dramatically from -303 to -130 after Game 5.

In addition, both teams’ title chances also changed. Boston quickly dropped from +450 to +290 to win it all, while Miami went from +360 to +600.

The Celtics are again favorites in Game 6 and would be heavy favorites going into Game 7 at home.

Boston is trying to make NBA history as no team has come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the series (although three teams have forced a Game 7).

Game 6 is Saturday in Miami. Can Jimmy Butler & Co. finish the series at home? Will Gabe Vincent be available after missing Game 5 with an ankle injury?
