An Enduring Presence: Remembering The Old Man of the Mountain lecture
DOVER — Join Dover Public Library on Monday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. for “An Enduring Presence: The Old Man of the Mountain,” a lecture by Inez McDermott. The event takes place in-person with and option to watch virtually from home. Sign up is needed to receive a link to watch online. This program is free and open to the public. Sprint into Summer
DOVER — On Monday, June 19 at 6 p.m. join the Dover Public Library for our summer reading kick-off event at the Dover High School track. In honor of Dover’s 400th birthday, we are going to attempt to complete 400 laps around the track. Walk, run, crawl, or roll! There will be music, prizes, pizza, and cake.

DOVER — On Tuesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. join the Dover Public Library at the Dover Police Station, 46 Chestnut St., for a behind the scenes tour.
Family Game Night
DOVER — On Wednesday, June 21 at 6 p.m. join the Dover Public Library to play a fun selection of card & board games, and meet other board game enthusiasts in the community. You’re also welcome to bring your own games.
Art in the Park
DOVER — On Wednesday, June 21 at 2 p.m. meet the Dover Public Library at Henry Law Park for a messy art activity with Arts in Reach. Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting art supplies on.

DOVER — On Wednesday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. join Cornerstone VNA at the Dover Public Library as we introduce our newest monthly Caregiver Café to support Dover area family caregivers. Come for a morning of support, education and conversation.
How to Start a Book Journal
DOVER — On Thursday, June 22 at 6 p.m. have you ever wanted to start a Book Journal? You’ll learn about the different ways to create and maintain a book journal with options for print, digital, and online journaling at the Dover Public Library. Supplies are included. This program is open to adults and teens. Registration requested.
Cocheco River Writers
DOVER — On Thursday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. join a community of local writers with Cocheco River Writers at the Dover Public Library. Discuss ideas, get tips, and share your work with others in a low-key, inviting atmosphere. Whether you want to write creatively for fun or for publication, this group is a great way to hone your craft.
Summer Crafternoon: Retro Crafts
DOVER — On Monday, June 22 at 3 p.m. the Dover Public Library will be making a different retro craft each week. Kids in grades 1 and preschoolers, with an adult care-giver, are welcome to make a craft that was popular when parents or grandparents were kids themselves.

PORTSMOUTH — Come to the Portsmouth Library on Saturday, June 24 at 1 p.m. for the free lecture “War, Justice, and Non-Violence: Perspectives and Paradoxes” with Kent McConnell.
Kids Fishing Derby
NEW DURHAM — Located at Club Pond in New Durham N.H. on June 24. The event start time 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. This is a free event for children 15 or younger who must be with an adult over the age of 18. Bring a pole, bucket and some bait. We will have prizes, raffles and giveaways. Farmington House of Pizza will be onsite. Pre-registration can be done on our website www.trailsforhope.com.
2023 Garden Tour
ROCHESTER — The Rochester NH Garden Club presents the 2023 Garden Tour. Nine gracious gardeners are opening their gardens for public viewing on Saturday June 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of gardens including pocket gardens, structured gardens, informal and mixed use gardens. Admission is free and maps can be picked up at Studley’s Flower Gardens on Wakefield street the morning of June 24. Attendees will end their tour by returning to Studley’s to vote for their favorite gardens.
