Jurgen Klopp reviews Liverpool’s 4-4 draw with Southampton

With the 2022/23 campaign done and dusted, Jurgen Klopp has already made it clear that he is anticipating a very busy summer.

Liverpool are expected to be one of the Premier League’s most active teams in the upcoming transfer window after a disappointing season and have already been linked with a host of names who are expected to be on the move in the coming weeks.

Klopp is expected to focus on rebuilding his midfield, although it remains to be seen how much the German will have to spend after the Reds failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League. With the transfer window set to officially open in two weeks time, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest news from Anfield…

Klopp forced into transfer rethink

Jurgen Klopp could be forced back to the drawing board if Liverpool miss out on a deal for Mason Mount, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United.

The Reds have been heavily linked with the Chelsea midfielder, who is expected to be sold after failing to agree on a new contract with the Blues hierarchy.

A recent report claimed that Mount and Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister had been identified as key components of Liverpool’s summer rebuild – meaning the Reds will have to turn their focus elsewhere if Manchester United can thrash out a deal with Chelsea for Mount in the coming days.
