Manchester United have already been sent exciting message about Randal Kolo Muani’s potential

Eintracht Frankfurt see “great potential” in Manchester United summer target Randal Kolo Muani.

The Frenchman is among the strikers on United’s summer wishlist for reinforcements at the top end of the pitch. United are on the search for another centre forward who can help lead the line and contribute to bridging the gap to the top of the league.

In the recently ended campaign, Marcus Rashford found the back of the net 30 times, but scored more than double what the next player in United’s top scorer charts managed in the form of Bruno Fernandes. Erik ten Hag tried to remedy the November departure of Cristiano Ronaldo with the loan acquisition of Wout Weghorst. However, the Burnley loanee scored just twice over the course of the second half of the campaign, and failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League.

United have drawn up a shortlist of potential reinforcements to target this summer. Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are near the top of this, though United are working under the assumption that Spurs will not allow the departure of the England captain this summer, despite Kane approaching the final 12 months of his contract.

Muani, 24, also features on that list, behind the likes of Kane and Osimhen. He had a productive first season at Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 23 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.

The France international was managed at the German side by Oliver Glasner, who has since departed the club. But Glasner believes Muani played a “crucial” role for Die Adler this campaign as he displayed his speed and potential very early on, which could be encouraging comments for United to take on board if they opt to progress with any move for the forward.

Speaking to the official Bundesliga website back in January, Glasner said: “We [signed] him because we saw great potential in him. We saw instantly that he was really quick. He listens and tries things on the pitch, plus he’s a great boy.
