Met Office predictions on how long warm weather will last

Temperatures are set to soar this weekend as the Met Office predicts more warm weather is on the way.

After months of unsettled weather, the spring sunshine has finally arrived and is looking to stay, at least for a short while. The ECHO previously reported that parts of the UK could bake in temperatures of up to 30°C in just over a week.

And while Liverpool may not quite enjoy temperatures that high, it’s still set to be a warm weekend. And the warm weather is likely to stay into next week.

Saturday saw blue skies and sunshine as temperatures reached as high as 20°C as thousands of people arrived at the Pier Head for the Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary. The Met Office predicts that Sunday will also see temperatures close to 20°C, in the high teens.

Despite a slightly cloudy day on Monday, the forecast is still going to be 18°C, before the sun returns on Tuesday when temperatures will rise to around 21°C in parts of Liverpool. And as the week goes on, temperatures will reach as high as 22°C.
