More thunder and heavy rain set to lash Yorkshire on Tuesday
More thunder is forecast to hit Yorkshire on Tuesday.
Thunderstorm warnings have been in place across the UK last week as more thundery weather is forecast for Yorkshire today (June 20).
Met Office says: “Dry with some bright spells at first, but clouding over during the morning with an area of rain or showers moving north, some heavy and possibly thundery, before clearing later. Maximum temperature 22 °C.”

Huddersfield
Heavy rain is forecast on Tuesday morning for Huddersfield, lasting until 1pm. There will be light showers throughout the afternoon with sunny intervals forecast from 6pm for the remainder of the night. No thunder is forecast.
Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Bradford
The city isn’t forecast thunder on Tuesday but will see heavy rain throughout the morning until 2pm in the afternoon. From 3pm there will be light rain and heavy showers for the remainder of the afternoon – there will be sunny intervals until sunset, says Met Office.
Maximum temperature 20 °C.
York
York will start the morning with cloud and light rain, turning heavier from midday. There will be heavy showers from 1pm, turning lighter in the later afternoon. Sunny intervals are forecast for Tuesday evening – no thunder is forecast.
Maximum temperature 24 °C.
Sheffield
Sheffield is forecast for thunder on Tuesday at 5pm. The day will start with heavy rain, continuing into the afternoon, where it will be mostly light rain and showers. From 7pm onwards there will be sunny intervals.
Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Wednesday, scattered heavy, thundery showers. Thursday, any isolated showers less heavy. Friday, bright with settled conditions, a chance of afternoon showers and an increase in cloud. Warm or very warm.
