A BUS driver whose girlfriend left him for a £148million lottery winner says they had a perfect relationship – until everything changed.

Mark Newman, 56, and ambulance worker Tracey Biles, 45, were in love and “happily settled” in their two-bed semi.

That was until she left the dad-of-four for an old pal – mega-rich Adrian Bayford in September last year.

Mark has told of his surprise that she left him for his lookalike Adrian – packing her bags and swiftly shifting into the EuroMillions winner’s £12m mansion.

Divorcé Mark and Tracey met in 2018 as bus drivers – and he says they instantly hit it off.

The loved-up couple quickly moved in together and Mark confessed: “That was me — I was done for life.

“I loved she was the kind of girl that wasn’t afraid to lug double-decker buses around Colchester where we worked.

“It felt like we were two teenagers in love, always laughing, joking and messing around. We were so happy.”

However, the jilted lover remembers the moment everything started crumbling.

In 2019, Tracey took Mark to meet Adrian at his country estate in Cambridgeshire.

The 56-year-old told The Sun: “As soon as she got out of the car at his mansion, my life changed.

“She changed as a person. She was so flirty and calling him ‘darling’. I felt like such a lemon.”

Mark realised last year that moment was probably the beginning of the end.

He said: “I became aware they were messaging — she told me he was chasing her because he had always fancied her.

“Adrian was sending steamy messages about how he wanted to bed her.

“Then in September 2022 Tracey told me she was staying at her parents’ house — but she wasn’t there. So I phoned her and she admitted she was out at Adrian’s.

“She just said he was a friend helping her out — but it was clearly so much more than that. She told me, ‘I’m staying here. I’m not coming back’.”

Mark, while sitting at his council house, has said he can’t understand “what he’s got that I haven’t”.

The dad continued: “You can clearly see she likes the larger man but that’s where the comparisons between me and Adrian end.

“I can’t bear to be talked about in the same breath as that man. I might only be a bus driver but at least I’ve got a shred of integrity.

“I am my own person — but he is a shallow, selfish, arrogant p****.

“He thinks he can do whatever he wants because he has the money.”

Mark went on: “Tracey has always loved money. Who doesn’t? But what about love?”
