Nottingham Forest have now begun to announce their pre-season plans for 2023. So, here is everything you need to know about what Steve Cooper’s City Ground outfit have scheduled.
The Reds are preparing for their second season back in the Premier League in 2023/24 after securing a 16th-place finish. Cooper ensured another campaign of top-flight football for the City Ground side after Nottingham Forest beat Arsenal 1-0 in both sides’ penultimate game.
Cooper will hope their strong end to the term and their pre-season plans this summer form a platform for Nottingham Forest to build on. This summer can also give those on the fringes of Nottingham Forest’s first-team squad the chance to impress ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
When does Nottingham Forest’s pre-season start?
The City Ground club are yet to confirm when Cooper’s side or those in Nottingham Forest’s academy will return to Wilford Lane to begin their pre-season training in 2023. But they will reconvene in early July at the latest. The Reds’ first friendly this year takes place on July 15.

As of May 31, Nottingham Forest have only announced one pre-season friendly for Cooper’s side in the summer of 2023. But the Reds will announce their remaining practice matches in due course. So, keep checking back to this page for regular updates on the team’s schedule.
Nottingham Forest only confirmed their first pre-season friendly for 2023 on May 29 with a trip to Notts County. Cooper’s team will pay another visit to Meadow Lane after their 2-2 in 2022. This summer will see the Magpies preparing for League Two after winning promotion.

How to watch Nottingham Forest’s 2023 pre-season fixtures
Nottingham Forest are yet to confirm which network will broadcast their pre-season fixtures in 2023. But the Reds will likely have their games available to stream online via the club’s in-house channel, Forest TV. The club sold streaming passes for their summer schedule in 2022.
Tickets for Nottingham Forest’s summer schedule
Fans cannot currently buy tickets for Nottingham Forest’s pre-season friendly away at Notts County. The Reds will announce further details about admission for the derby in due course.
