Previous Jackson Mahomes’ bar accusation uncovered

The embattled younger brother of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was allegedly involved in a previous incident at the same Kansas City-area bar in which he is accused of sexually assaulting its owner.

Jackson Mahomes, who was arrested for aggravated sexual battery earlier this month, was previously booted from Aspen’s Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, the establishment’s owner, Aspen Vaughn, told police, according to the Kansas City-based KSHB.

The details of the previous incident are unknown.

The 40-year-old Vaughn has accused Jackson, 23, of forcibly kissing her and grabbing her by the throat three times, without consent, during a separate incident at the restaurant on Feb. 25.

Jackson has since been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and an additional count of misdemeanor battery in relation to the February incident.

The TikTok personality then posted a $100,000 bond.

Last week, Jackson requested a modification to the bond in which he would be allowed to communicate with witnesses, with a motion stating the ban “serves no purpose other than to further isolate” the influencer.

Johnson County District Judge Thomas Sunderland ruled Tuesday that Jackson — who appeared in court for a hearing — can have contact with three of four witnesses under the stipulation the case is not discussed.

The fourth witness was denied permission to speak with Jackson as she is the former stepdaughter of Vaughn.

Tuesday’s hearing came a day after Sunderland ordered the release of a redacted affidavit, which states Jackson “grabbed [Aspen Vaughn] by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth” three times without her consent and then told her not to tell anyone.

Vaughn also provided surveillance video of the alleged assault to police, as well as the Kansas City Star, which first reported the allegations against Jackson in March.

At the time, a 19-year-old waiter at the restaurant also accused Jackson of shoving him twice — and backed Vaughn’s claims.

Elsewhere in the affidavit, Jackson allegedly attempted to explain “what he could do for [Vaughn’s] business,” with the doc noting he has a large social media following.

Brandan Davies, an attorney for Jackson, said his client committed no wrongdoing in a statement in March.

Jackson celebrated his 23rd birthday on the eve of his court appearance, with his mother, Randi Mahomes, sharing an Instagram tribute to her youngest son on Monday.

“Happy Birthday son i love you,” she wrote in her post, which included a video collage of Jackson. Mahomes and his wife Brittany Matthews, who’s defended Jackson in previous social media posts, have yet to address the sexual battery case.

Jackson’s preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 31.
