Randall Emmett Breaks Silence On ‘Randall Scandal’ Doc, Slams Ex Lala Kent

Randall Emmett spoke out against the upcoming Hulu documentary The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpumpwhich addresses multiple allegations against the film producer.

“Almost a year ago the Los Angeles Times wrote a very biased and factually inaccurate hit piece about me,” the Midnight at Switchgrass producer, 52, said in a statement to Page six on Tuesday, May 16. “One of the writers, Amy Kaufmanseemed to have a personal vendetta against me, I believe because of her alleged friendship with my ex Lala knows.”

The message continued: “The article included fictitious and highly exaggerated stories fabricated by some former disgruntled employees who had been laid off. Lala was also a participant in this fiasco, probably because I fought for 50/50 joint legal custody of our child. Emmett shares 2-year-old daughter Ocean with the Vanderpump Rules star, 32, as well as daughters London, 13, and Rylee, 9, with ex-wife Amby Childers.

In June 2022, an explanation of the LA times accused Emmett of professional misconduct in a series of allegations. According to the outlet, a woman accused the co-founder of Emmett/Furla Oasis Films of sexual misconduct and some of Emmett’s former personal assistants alleged that their former boss had them handle personal matters for him.

In the piece, Kent claimed that her ex – who she dated from 2016 to 2021 – knew about it Bruce Willishealth issues before his family publicly announced his aphasia diagnosis in March 2022, but continued to work with him. According to the Bravo personality, Emmett told her that the That hard star, 68, was oblivious to his surroundings as early as November 2020, but continued to work with him on several subsequent films. The documentary, which premieres Monday, May 22, features interviews with Kent’s family and Emmett’s former employees. deadline reported Monday that the Hulu special had “special access” to interview footage of Give Them founder Lala, who talks about her turbulent relationship with Emmett and how she became aware of the allegations against her ex-fiancée.

Emmett, for his part, shared his reason for not being involved in the project with Page six on Tuesday.

“I declined to participate because it quickly became clear to me that the film would be just as biased, if not more so, than the article it was based on,” he said at the time. “It is my understanding that many people have been contacted to participate in this documentary, but most have declined.”

Emmett also claimed that “people were encouraged to speak negatively about themselves”, when the “vast majority had nothing but positive things to say”.
