Rocking the Docks Music Series Announces 2023 Lineup
Music lovers have a new reason to celebrate summer on the Delaware coast.
The Rocking the Docks a Lewes, DE concert series, has returned with an expanded 2023 lineup of national and international acts, including Robert Randolph Band; The Heavy Heavy, a retro-inspired rock band from England; rock ‘n’ roll and reggae performer Joe Samba; and The Amish Outlaws, a popular cover band.
The all-ages outdoor music series takes place on the green by the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal on Wednesdays, beginning at 6 p.m., from June 21 to Aug. 23.
“It’s one of Delaware’s most scenic settings,” “The concert is right on the Delaware Bay, which has spectacular sunset views,” said organizer Matthew VanBelle.
VanBelle curated a list of unforgettable performers in diverse genres who appeal to a wide audience.
“Some acts are established, while others are rising stars — and everyone is a vetted crowd-pleaser,” he said.
Regional artists such as Lower Case Blues, Low Cut Connie and The Dirty Grass Players are among the opening acts.
In addition to general admission tickets, Rocking the Docks now offers a VIP option, which includes admission into the exclusive Dewey Picnic Co. tented area with yard games, a private bar and food.
VIP ticket holders can also enter the grounds at 5 p.m.
All attendees can purchase food from Grain on the Rocks, and there will be beverage stations.
