Scales of Justice results from Oxford Magistrates’ Court

LUKE DOYLE, 29, of Chalford Avenue, Watchfield, pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers and using threatening behaviour in Watchfield. The latter charge related to an incident in the village on October 20 last year, while the assaults were committed on November 11. He was ordered to pay £200 in compensation.

SAMIEL TOMELSO, 25, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted using disorderly behaviour at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal in February. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to Crawley Magistrates’ Court on February 20. The bench fined him £100 and ordered he pay £125 in costs and surcharge.

OLIVER GREEN, 24, of Inkerman Close, Abingdon, admitted drink driving a vehicle on Colwell Drive last December. Green was tested and found to have 57mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £120, banned from driving for a year and must pay £133 in costs and surcharge.

BRANDON SYKES, 26, of Sir Henry Jake Close, Banbury, pleaded guilty to possession of three kitchen knives in Prescott Avenue and assaulting a police officer. He was given three months’ imprisonment suspended for a year, with a 60 day alcohol abstinence tag and a requirement to pay £100 in compensation to the officer. The magistrates imposed £85 in costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

JAMIE WOODLEY, 35, of Loder Road, Harwell, admitted stealing £128-worth of perfume from Tesco. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge.

DAVID BISHOP, 30, of Stockham Park, Wantage, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon – a rounders bat – in Mill Street, Wantage, on March 27. The magistrates gave him a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered he pay £199 in costs and surcharge. The bat will be destroyed.

DANIEL BRACKETT, 44, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a man by beating him and using threatening behaviour in Temple Cowley shopping centre last May. He was given 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year and must pay £100 in compensation to the victim of the assault.

MARCELLO GIANNI, 57, of Field House Drive, Oxford, admitted assault by beating and using threatening behaviour. The offences were committed in Oxford on June 15 last year. He received a community order with a mental health treatment requirement and must pay £50 in compensation. The JPs ordered he pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

DANIEL WEBB, 39, care of Amersham Hill, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle worth £1,399 in Oxford last August. He was fined £80 and must pay £49.50 in compensation.

THOMAS HAMILTON, 33, of Huntingdon, Kington, admitted driving carelessly, without insurance and whilst disqualified. The charge specified that he had been using a satnav while driving a Ford Fiesta on Oxford Street, Woodstock, last October, which caused him to crash into another vehicle. He was given 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year, was fined £160 and must do 80 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for another 18 months.
