Seacoast Roundup York softball Kortes throws third no-hitter of year
YORK, Maine – McKayla Kortes threw her third no-hitter of the season and the York High School softball team beat Lake Region on Friday, 3-0 in a Class B South game.
York improved to 12-1 on the season, while Lake Region is 8-2. Lake Region starter Melissa Mayo had eight strikeouts.
Kortes also helped her cause with two hits.
York freshman Bella Santini also had two hits, while Carlie Welch and Emily Estes both had an RBI. Teammate Ella Hickey doubled.
BASEBALL

YORK, Maine – The Wildcats scored three runs in the second and third innings, and five in the fourth in this Class B South game that was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Jack Joyce led York with three RBIs, while John Jacobsohn, Brody Gullison and Bradley Carr all had two, and Jack Jellison and Ryan Hanscom both had one.
Jacobsohn, Carr, Joyce and Ben Brown all scored two runs in the win.
Pinkerton 8
Dover 2
DOVER – The Astros broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the sixth inning and four more in the seventh in this Division I win over Dover (8-8).
Pinkerton improved to 13-4 with the win. Andrew Rapoza and Timmy MacGregor each had a hit for the Green Wave, while Brett Davis and Jacob Mangum each scored a run.

TILTON – Will Sneddon had two hits and two RBIs for Somersworth in this Division III loss.
Simon Grandmaison. Lukas Kelly, Carter Morgan and Logan Perrault all had one hit for the Hilltoppers. Teammate Thurston Boilard added an RBI groundout.

KITTERY, Maine – Morgan Wilcox scattered six hits and struck out two in this Class C South win for the Rangers. Traip, coming off a winless 2022 season, recorded its first win in 12 games this year.
Emme Hale scored two runs and drove in three for Traip, while Aidia Royer scored two runs and drove in one.

DURHAM – Alex Moody, Jadyn Smart and Tyler Callander all had two goals for Oyster River in this Division II win.
Moody added two assists, while Smart had one. Sam Guilmette also scored for the Bobcats, who got eight saves from goalie Finn Mason.

HAMPTON – Abby Wilber scored four goals, and Shea Graham had two for Winnacunnet in a Division II win.
Sky Mace, Tegan Rooney and Maia Delano all had one goal for the Warriors.
For Oyster River, Sophie Royal had two goals and two assists, and Waverly Oake-Libow had a goal and three assists, including the 100th point in her career. Teammates Elsa Pueschel and Mia Weglarz both scored a goal. Oyster River goalie Eliza Farwell had 11 saves.

SALEM – The Green Wave swept singles and finished the regular season undefeated for the third straight season. Dover now has won 31 consecutive matches.
Taylor Wilson (8-1), Joci Faasen (8-1), Tory Vitko (8-0), Riya Ramdev (8-0) and Katie Ross (8-0) all won in singles.
In doubles, Wilson and Faasen won 8-1 at No. 1, Vitko and Ramdev won 8-0 at No. 2, and Sarah Bastille/Ashlynn Swierk won 8-4 at No. 3.

MANCHESTER – Maddy Gagnon (No. 1, 8-3), Stella Mitropoulos (No. 2, 8-0), Zoe Farrington (No, 3, 8-3), Hannah Stewart (No. 4, 8-0), Lucy Gosselin (No. 5, 8-1) and Ashley Stewart (No. 6) all won in singles for Spaulding in this Division I match.
In doubles, Gagnon and Mitropoulos won 8-0 at No. 1, Farrington and Hannah Stewart won 8-0 at No. 2, and Gosselin and Ashley Stewart won 8-1 at No. 3.

EXETER – Katie Rocha (No. 1, 9-7), Ava Iaccobuci (No. 2, 8-3), Megan Leigh (No. 3, 8-3), Katie Turner (No. 4, 9-7), Elsa Bishop (No. 5, 8-4) and Elsie Kumph (No. 6, 8-1) all won in singles action for Exeter in this Division I match.
In doubles, Rocha and Iaccobuci won 8-2 at No. 1, and Bishop and Kumph won 9-7 at No. 3.

DURHAM – Sofia Karageogos (No. 2, 8-1), Kathryn Demarest (No. 3, 8-1), Maggie Farwell (No. 4, 8-1), Siena Schaier (No. 5, 8-0), and Megan Zehetner (No. 6, 8-4) all won in singles for Oyster River in this Division II match.
In doubles, Sofie Gibson and Farwell won 8-3 at No. 1, Karageorgos and Demarest won 8-0 at No. 2, and Jessica Li and Saarika Arthanat won 8-1 at No. 3.

EXETER – The Blue Hawks swept doubles in this Division I match and finished their regular season with a record of 10-4.
Dom Theos (No. 2, 9-8), Robert Berthel (No. 3, 8-1), Lance Makabali (No. 5, 8-5) and Owen Simon (No. 6, 8-1) won in singles for Exeter.
In doubles, Charlie Gaughan and Theos won 8-6 at No. 1, Berthel and Oliver Beradino won 8-2 at No. 2, and Ryan Byrnes and Nick Myers won 8-6 at No. 3.

GOFFSTOWN – Joshua Schaake had 14 kills, 14 digs, nine aces and four blocks in this Division I win for Winnacunnet (8-4).
Individual set scores were 25-18, 23-25, 20-25, 25-12, 16-14.
Bryce Molnar (37 assists), James Baker (21 digs, 10 kills), Charlie Wheeler (six kills), Cole Nicholas (six kills), Conor Fenlon, Willem Belanger and Lucas Johnson all contributed for the Warriors.
