Luke Botticelli gradated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire during Commencement ceremonies on May 20, 2023 with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology and has been awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Luke graduated from Sanborn Regional High School in 2019. Proud parents are Fred Botticelli of Newmarket and Catherine Botticelli of Kingston.

Barbara Angley of Exeter has been named to the Part-Time Dean’s List for the Spring 2023 Semester at York County Community College.

A total of 2,054 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s spring 2023 Dean’s List. Local students honored include: Jacob Adams of Sandown, majoring in Computer Science; Chase Carstensen of Plaistow, majoring in Computer Science; Aisling Corcoran of East Hampstead, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering; Matthew Cronin of Brentwood, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; Charles Engler of Exeter, majoring in Computer Science; Allison Georato of Brentwood, majoring in Civil Engineering; Nicholas Golparvar of Exeter, majoring in Computer Science; Marilyn Senger of Danville, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; Evan Vadeboncoeur of Brentwood, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Engineering; Alexis Wood of Fremont, majoring in Biology and Biotechnology and Professional Writing.

Lindsey Walsh of Brentwood was graduated at Stonehill College’s 72nd Commencement on May 21, 2023.

All students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute are required to complete a senior thesis as part of the university’s distinctive project-based educational experience called the Major Qualifying Project (MQP), one that is usually team-based and often focuses on very specific issues or needs of an organization that has partnered with the university to sponsor the student’s work. The following local students completed their MQP: Emily Raynowska of Brentwood, majoring in Aerospace Engineering, completed the project titled Structural Design Analysis of the Burnelli CBY-3 and DC-3; Julia Sherwin of Brentwood, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, completed the project titled Development of a Ligament Regeneration System; Shane Stevens of Atkinson, majoring in Computer Science, completed the project titled Autonomous Ocean Trash Cleaning Robot (Full Group); Marilyn Senger of Danville, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, completed the project titled Realistic Shoulder Model with Soft Tissue Attachments; John Martel of East Kingston, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, completed the project titled Modeling the eCGX Post Pneumonectomy in a 3D Fluidic Chip; Evan Vadeboncoeur of Brentwood, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Engineering, completed the project titled Small-Size Soccer Robots.
