Teresa Giudice’s Husband Louie Details Joe Convo On Wedding Day: ‘Felt Right’

A friendly chat. Teresa Guidicethe husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelastold why he decided to talk to her ex-husband, Joe Guidiceon their wedding day – revealing what the couple discussed.

“I called him, actually I let him know that everything will be fine – that we are a team,” the 49-year-old entrepreneur reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us weekly. “It felt good to call him and talk to him because he’s a good dad. He definitely makes lemonade out of lemons, and it’s something that people don’t see there. And I just wanted to acknowledge that for him.

Teresa and Joe, both 50, called it quits in 2019 after 20 years of marriage and finalized their divorce a year later. The former couple, who tied the knot in 1999, share four daughters: Gia, 22, Gabriella, 19, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 13.

Louie explained that he wanted to reach Joe to let him know that he intended to be “all hands on deck” with the girls. The businessman has a similar relationship with his ex-wife, Marisa Dimartino Ruelaswith whom he has sons Nicholas and Louie Jr. shares. Last year, Marisa joined her ex-husband and Teresa in Atlantic City to celebrate Louie Jr.’s birthday.

“We spent the weekend together, we went out to dinner and it was so much fun,” says de Real Housewives of New Jersey star reminds Us. “It was a nice evening. It was fun.”

The Dancing with the stars alum adds that she and her husband plan to visit Joe again in the Bahamas shortly after having dinner with him and the kids earlier. That meeting, she notes, was Louie’s idea.

“I am so glad we did [it]’ says Teresa about the rendezvous. “It made my daughter so happy. And I was like, ‘Thank you so much for doing that.’ It wasn’t my idea, it was his idea. So [Louie] gets credit for it. But after I did, I thought, “Thank you,” because they really made the girls so happy.

The Turn the tables author and Louie married in August 2022 after getting engaged a year earlier. A special documentation of their marriage, Teresa is getting marriedairs on Bravo Tuesday, May 23.

“It was like a fairytale,” says Teresa Us of the big day. “It was the wedding I’ve always wanted. It was just more than I could dream of.”

Louie, for his part, adds that the couple is enjoying married life as they approach their first anniversary. “Real life for us was great,” he explains. “Wake up with your partner. … If you are within your rights [relationship]you know.

Despite their hectic schedules, the duo try to have dinner with the kids every night. “It’s actually quite beautiful,” says Louie. “We have time to focus on the kids and what’s important, where they’re going, what their next steps are.”

Teresa is getting married airs on Bravo Tuesday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET.
