Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Pets at Home urgently recall cheese, pakora, falafel and dog food products and issue ‘do not eat’ alerts

UK stores including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Pets at Home have recalled food products over safety fears.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued alerts for the supermarkets and animal retailer, over fears products may not be fit for consumption. The affected items have been withdrawn from shelves and shoppers are being urged not to consume them.

Instead return them to the store in which they were bought for a full refund. They include pakora and falafel products sold through Tesco and Asda, Sainsbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar and two batches of dog food sold in Pets at Home.

Here are all of the latest product recalls issued by the FSA in the last week:

Sweet Potato Pakora and Falafel products

Gosh! Food Ltd is recalling various Sweet Potato Pakora and Falafel products because they may contain gluten which is not declared on the label. The FSA said this means that the products, sold in Tesco, Asda and Ocado, are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten.
