The Farnborough Airport hotel rated among UK’s best in Tripadvisor awards

Just within Hampshire’s border with Surrey sits a particularly popular hotel. Described as both “stunning” and “top-notch”, Aviator, on Farnborough Road, has been named among the top 25 hotels in the UK.

The venue, overlooking Farnborough Airport, came seventh in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards, which lists the best-rated hotels on its website. With views of the airport and luxurious facilities, the hotel was rated five stars out of five.

With London being such a hotspot for top hotels, Aviator was the only hotel from the Home counties to appear on the list. The architectural grandeur and futuristic shape are what many guests are blown away by, along with the sweeping staircase in the lobby.

The stairs lead up to the secluded setting and relaxing lounges of the Sky Bar where signature cocktails are served including Silver Jet, The High Life, Cumulus Cloud and The Mile High Club. With epic aircraft views from the window, afternoon tea is also served in here every day of the week from £35 per person.

Downstairs is a glamorous brasserie serving a sophisticated a la carte menu daily from 6pm. Alongside the likes of roast lamb saddle, poached trout and hoisin glazed smoked tofu, is a range of mouth-watering steaks with meat from Aldershot butches, A Turner and Sons.

Cuts include a 320g sirloin steak, 320g rib-eye steak, and a whopping 900g T-bone steak, all served triple cooked chips, ranch dressed baby gem, crispy onion and a choice of sauce.
