Three ready-made Tyler Adams replacements Leeds United could turn to for Championship test

Three ready-made Tyler Adams replacements Leeds United could turn to for Championship test

Leeds United could be looking for midfield replacements should the likes of Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and Adam Forshaw leave the club this summer.

Adams and Roca are expected to head ouf Elland Road following relegation to the Championship, while Forshaw has not yet been offered a new deal and, as it stands is set to move on, although he will be welcome at training should he still be without a club.

Weston McKennie’s loan from Juventus has come to and end, meaning Leeds will need to take a look at the centre of the park for their promotion bid. Here are three possible targets with Championship experience who could offer Leeds what they need.

Hamza Choudhury

The midfielder spent last season on loan with Watford, and has returned to parent club Leicester City ahead of pre-season. Whether the 25-year-old will be part of new manager Enzo Maresca’s plans remain to be seen, but there’s no doubt he has the right credentials for the Championship.

Having plenty of Premier League exprience, Choudhury was tipped for big things but fell down the pecking order at the King Power. He played 37 times for Watford last term, and face a key summer.

Lewis Travis

The Blackburn Rovers captain had a difficult season, being dropped before winning his place back at Ewood Park. The return to the side saw a significant improvement in performances from the 25-year-old and caught the eye as Rovers just missed out on a play-off sport.

Speaking of his return to form, Travis said: “I’m not too sure (on what’s changed), I hate being out of the team. I can’t be out of the team again because I absolutely hated it.
