The Hopelands Concert Series will be held Mondays through June 26Parris Island Marine Band will perform at 7 p.m. Monday at the Roland H. Calvary Chapel will hold a Christmas in July yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22, at the chapel, 1411 E. Pine Log Road. On Saturday, a free outdoor festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will host several craft vendors, food trucks and various community groups. The Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program will offer a free virtual training to those interested in becoming a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in Aiken County. GALs advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children who are involved in family court proceedings through the Department of Social Services. Interested volunteers must be at least 21 years old, have a clean criminal record, no prvious DSS case history and have time available to help.
