Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson don black pantsuits for the NYC premiere of Asteroid City

Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson coordinated in all-black pantsuits to attend the New York premiere of their film Asteroid City, which was held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Tuesday.

The Cali-born couple – both 66 – have been impressively married for over 35 years, and Wilson told CBS Mornings on Tuesday of their secret to longevity: ‘We do have fun. You’ve gotta have fun!’

Stylist Maryam Malakpour dressed Tom in a single-breasted suit and dress shoes sans necktie, and she dressed Rita in a silky blazer and wide-leg trousers beneath a lacy top.

The Little Black Dress songstress has a mystery role and Hanks portrays Augie Steenbeck’s (Jason Schwartzman) father-in-law Stanley Zak in the desert-set romantic dramedy Asteroid City, which hits limited US theaters this Friday before a wider US/UK release on June 23.

The two-time Oscar winner revealed director Wes Anderson hosted ‘dinner every night at 8 o’clock’ for the cast and crew at their hotels in Arizona and Spain, and there would be ‘impromptu sing-along sessions’ on the weekends.

‘Everybody would perform,’ Wilson told ET on the red carpet.

‘It was a very musical cast. You had Seu Jorge, Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker. It was really a great group of people and also, Jenny [Furches], our script supervisor, she was an amazing singer.’

Asteroid City was truly a family affair for Tom and Rita, whose 27-year-old son Truman Hanks was employed as a film loader.

Hanks and the Kimi actress are also parents of 32-year-old Chet Hanks – who hosts his own podcast and acted in Showtime’s Your Honor following brushes with the law, a rehab stint, and cultural appropriation.

Wilson is stepmother to the Harvard University 2023 commencement speaker’s two older children – Colin, 45; and Elizabeth Ann, 41 – from his nine-year marriage to the late Samantha Lewes, which ended in 1987.

The grandparents-of-three originally met while Tom was still married to Lewes in 1981 when Rita guest-starred in one episode of his cross-dressing ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies.

Hanks and the Til You’re Home singer recently co-produced Nia Vardalos’ Grecian-set three-quel My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, which hits US theaters September 8.

‘So excited and really thrilled to have everybody in Greece with us and Nia Vardalos, who is the creator of it, she stars in it, and wrote it, and directed it this time,’ Wilson said.

‘I love the full circle of it.’

The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece author added: ‘We’re only working with people who run the whole shebang.’

Tom later shared a laugh with two-time Oscar nominee Margot Robbie, who plays a TV actress in Asteroid City.

Once inside, Wilson posed with the Australian 32-year-old and her Barbie filmmaker Greta Gerwig, who both wore eighties-inspired dresses.

Hanks was also spotted chatting up two-time Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson, who plays actress-mother Midge Campbell in Asteroid City.

And Rita also took the time out to pose with SAG Award nominee Maya Hawke, who plays Montana-obsessed teacher June Douglas in the movie.

Asteroid City – about an alien invasion during a Junior Stargazer convention – currently has a 71% critic approval rating (out of 77 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The 105-minute ensemble film also features Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Steve Park, Rupert Friend, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, and Jeff Goldblum.
