Tributes to ‘lovely’ Scots man Andrew Ward after body found in search

Tributes have been paid to a missing Scots man after a body was found in the search for him on a shoreline in Fife.

Andrew Ward, who had been reported missing on May 30, was described as a “lovely man with a kind heart” by devastated pals after police discovered a body near St Andrews on Thursday.

Officers confirmed although formal identification was yet to take place, Andrew’s family had been informed.

Heartbroken loved ones have now paid tribute to the 47-year-old on social media and said he would be greatly missed.

Emma Donnelly said: “Heaven gained another angel today. Thank you dear neighbour for being loving, caring, thoughtful and honest – the four things that make a humble neighbour.

“You will be missed. Rip Andrew, thank you to police Scotland for their efforts in finding Andrew and to the RNLI.”

Paul Dunn wrote: “Rest Easy Andrew. Last thing you said to me was you will always remember me as a good bud. Well I will always remember you as a good bud to me mate.”
