United ‘some way’ off Mason Mount, Real look to scupper Kane transfer, Abraham updates

Morning, Man Utd fans

According to reports, Man Utd are willing to meet Napoli’s asking fee for defender Kim Min-jae.

The Serie A champions want £40million for the South Korean star.
European football journalist Bruno Andrade claims the Red Devils have no qualms in paying that price for the player who appeared 44 appearances for Napoli this season.

Erik ten Hag expects Marcus Rashford to sign a new deal with the Red Devils.

The England forward’s current deal expires in 2024, but there is an offer for a new contract on the table.

Ten Hag told Viaplay: “I expect Marcus Rashford to renew. He wants it.

Manchester United wants it. He is a child of this club, so I assume this will happen.”

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Marc Guehi, but it’s Man Utd who could hold the “most concrete” interest.

According to GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are monitoring the England defender more than their rivals.

Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with the £50million rated star.

Erik ten Hag has revealed he expects Lisandro Martinez back at Carrington in the next few days.

The Dutch tactician is also confident he will be back for the start of preseason training.

Argentina World Cup winner Martinez was ruled out for the season with a broken foot suffered in a Europa League game against Sevilla.

Man Utd starlet Amad Diallo is willing to go back to Sunderland — if boss Tony Mowbray stays.

The 14-goal winger, 20, starred with the Black Cats on loan and is considering his next move.

A switch to Holland is an option but he enjoyed playing for Mowbray and could return.

Mowbray’s future came into doubt after Sunderland’s failure to go up via the play-offs.

Diallo, meanwhile, built up a strong rapport with Black Cats’ fans.

And after their exit against overall play-off winners Luton, the Ivory Coast ace posted a message for them, saying “one day we will meet again”.

Man Utd are reportedly a long way short of agreeing a transfer for Mason Mount.

The Red Devils are keen to try and sign the Chelsea midfielder, 24, this summer as he enters the final year of his Stamford Bridge contract.

But according to the Independent, the Blues are demanding a staggering £55million for the academy graduate.

And the report insists the Old Trafford side are not even close to matching that sky-high valuation – especially amid uncertainty over the club’s ownership and transfer budget.

Erik ten Hag is prioritising a new striker and a centre-back when the transfer window reopens.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also shown interest in Mount.

Man Utd have received an injury boost after Luke Shaw took part in training on Friday.

The defender was taken off at half-time against Chelsea on Thursday, sparking fears he could miss the FA Cup final next week.
