A big part of rugby league, and it is seemingly set to grow under the influence of IMG, is the overall entertainment of the spectacle.

A key part of this is mascots and one mascot who often stands out is Warrington Wolves’ Wolfie.

Always appearing on social media doing something hilarious, he was at it again yesterday as he lied down on the pitch before hand sunbathing right before kick off.

Referee Liam Moore got involved in the funny moment showing Wolfie a red card.

You can watch the moment below:

As for the game, it didn’t take Warrington long to notch the first try. With their first attacking possession a short ball coupled with a barn storming run from Sam Kasiano saw the forward storm over.

Huddersfield would soon respond. In an attacking set of their own, a sweeping move right saw Will Pryce stand up the defenders before creating a try for Jake Bibby via Kevin Naiqama.

Then the Wolves struck from deep with Josh Thewlis carving through the Giants before wrong footing Will Pryce at sensational speed to score a length of the field try.

It was nearly two tries in two minutes after a Connor Wrench break and support from Danny Walker but brilliant cover from the Giants denied the Wolves.

The Wolves did eventually get a third try. A short ball allowed James Harrison to storm through. He was tackled put popped the offload away to George Williams to score.

The Giants then found a way back after a Daryl Clark error. A neat pass complimented by a good line by Leroy Cudjoe allowed the experienced Giant to ease through.

At the start of the second 40, Warrington scored a vital try as they ploughed down field with Danny Walker in support and scoring to give Warrington a 14-point lead.

A vital try was disallowed prior to halftime from Matty Ashton and then Ben Currie was also denied with the video referee able to spot a small knock on both times.

That started to cause Warrington to unravel and after a key mistake Kevin Naiqama bounced through the tackles near the try line to score.

A 40/20 attempt then yielded a second try in two minutes as the ball bounced back inside and Fages was in support to score.

After that chaotic kick, the Wolves produced one of their own and Matt Dufty was on hand to score.

Huddersfield gave themselves hope late on after a brilliant try for Tui Lolohea started by Theo Fages and involving Will Pryce. Many felt that the final pass was forward but the Giants than had an attacking chance denied when Liam Moore spotted a forward pass after a break by Kevin Naiqama.
