“It also has a great history, once being a market town. There are also lots of outdoor spaces, parks and local amenities. It is a great place to work, Wokingham has everything you need.”
Will Adams, general manager of the Rose Inn on Denmark Street also sang the town’s praises. He said: “I love living and working in Wokingham because of the strong sense of community here. People are friendly and welcoming When I walk to and from work, I often see people I know and they always stop to say hello. They ask me how I’m doing and they’re genuinely interested in my life, it makes me feel valued and appreciated.
“We support local charities. We’ve raised money for First Days Children’s Charity and the Wade Day Care Centre, and we’ve also donated food and supplies to other organisations in need. Giving back to the community is important to us, and it’s something we’re proud to do.
“We also have a relationship with other pubs and restaurants in Wokingham. Even though we’re all competing for business, we’re always willing to help each other out. It’s one of the things that makes Wokingham such a great place to live and work.”
