Woman, 40, jailed for running heroin and crack cocaine line in town she was banned from

A 40-year-old has been jailed for running a drugs line in a town she was banned from.

Nadia Stanway was involved in the county lines supply of heroin and crack cocaine and admitted two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. She was handed a two-and-a-half year prison sentence.

A court heard how she was first arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs on January 12 but was released on bail, only to defy a condition barring her from entering parts of Congleton by returning the following month. Following her first arrest, Police say she was released on conditional bail and was prevented from entering specified areas within Congleton town centre as part of her imposed conditions.

But cops spotted her back in the town on Friday, February 17, walking through Antrobus Street, an area that she was excluded from as stated in her bail conditions. She was arrested again and taken into police custody for drugs offences, the M.E.N reports.

During her arrest, it was noted that Stanway’s mobile phone was ringing continuously, and a number of known drug users were congregating in the area where she was first seen by officers. Evidence gathered by officers from Operation Apollo – an ongoing investigation into the supply of drugs in Congleton – confirmed that Stanway was controlling a county line drug operation in the town.

Stanway was subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine.
