After the news of a merger of both societies was approved following a second poll, Bury AFC will adopt the Bury FC playing name ahead of the 2023–24 season and return to Gigg Lane.
The hard work started, a squad needed to be put together, staff members were brought in and friendlies set up ready to prepare for the upcoming campaign.
