England and world squad practice penalties ahead of Soccer Aid 2023
Soccer Aid is back as England seek revenge against the World XI after losing on penalties last year.
Comedian Lee Mack scored the winning penalty for the World 11, who went on to win the competition for the fourth straight year after going 2-2 over 90 minutes.
The biggest charity football game in the world, which raised more than £15m for charity Unicef last year, brings an extra layer of intrigue this year as new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino prepares to leave ahead of his return to the Club game back on the bench sits the Blues.
This year’s teams include Gary Neville, Liam Payne, Jill Scott, Sir Mo Farah and Danny Dyer for England. Mack will be joined in the World XI by Usain Bolt, Tommy Fury, Niko, Roberto Carlos, Francesco Totti and Patrice Evra.

Soccer Aid 2023 odds and best bets
England are 10/11 favourites, despite losing in their last four games to the World XI, who are available at 15/8 over the 90 minutes and the draw is 10/3.
Betfair also lists England at 4/7 for the trophy and 5/4 for the world rankings.
If you like a repeat of last year and a penalty shootout, both sides have 7/1 to win as the competition goes the distance.

Soccer Aid 2023: England and the world eleven face each other
After eleven editions, the world team now has a lead of 6:5 over England in the direct balance sheet.
There is now a streak of dominance stretching back to 2018, with the World XI aiming for a fifth straight win.
This is also the eighth time that Old Trafford has hosted the game, with the world squad winning 5-2 in their seven games at Manchester United’s home ground.
