Every Championship loan deal ending as Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End target fresh faces

It’s always a key market for Championship clubs and several loan stars will head back to their parent clubs this summer.

Second tier sides will be looking for the next gems – whether that be from the top flight or elsewhere. And there of course remains the possibility of last season’s stand-out players heading back out on loan in 2022/23 – though Premier League clubs do tend to involve their youngsters in pre-season.

Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End both benefitted from loan captures last season. Tyler Morton racked up 40 appearances for the Ewood Park outfit, while Alvaro Fernandez and Tom Cannon both excelled in North End colours. With that in mind – ahead of the summer transfer window opening – we take a look at the full list of returning loan players.
