With summertime officially underway, there are a number of places to celebrate Pride in 2023 across the UK. 

From events in London and Brighton to Manchester and Blackpool, there is something for everyone across the country to celebrate Pride this summer. 

But when exactly are the events? What has been planned for them? Are there still tickets available for your local pride event? 

Read on below for MailOnline’s comprehensive guide to pride events happening across the UK over summer 2023.  

Pride events in June 2023

Blackpool Pride will be the first of four huge summer events to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender +) LGBT+ community in the UK. 

The main event in Blackpool, which features over eight hours of entertainment, will take place on Princess Parade, which spans the promenade alongside the seafront. 

A parade will be held along the promenade, beginning at 10am on Saturday June 10 2023. Entertainment will be headlined by Russell Small & Katherine Ellis with  Freemasons, Alex Party and Nicki French also among those performing on the day. 

Tickets are still available to purchase for the event, starting from £13.75 for general admission. Tickets for 11-17-year-olds are priced at £3.30, with free entry permitted for children under 11. 

Pride events in July 2023

Pride in London, the flagship LGBT+ event held every year in the city, will take place on Saturday July 1 in 2023. 

Proceedings will get underway from around midday at Hyde Park Corner, with the grandstand in Haymarket opening from about 11.30am for viewers.  

Theatre, dance, art, and cinema events, showcasing the work and achievements of the LGBT+ community in these cultural fields, will be held throughout the day. 

Soho will host evening events and parties, with pubs, bars and clubs throughout the city doing likewise to celebrate Pride in London 2023. 

The annual event involves an estimated 30,000 participants, attracting 1.5 million visitors from across the globe, certifying its status as one of the largest pride festivals in the UK. 

In 2022, the theme for Pride in London was #AllOurPride. That theme will be continued for this year’s event. 

Music and live performances will be held across the following four main stages for Pride in London 2023: the Golden Square stage, the Trafalgar Square stage, the Women’s Stage, which is located in Leicester Square and the Cabaret Stage, which is situated in Dean Street, Soho. 

The full lineup of artists and performers is yet to be revealed for Pride in London 2023.  

Pride in London CEO, Christopher Joell-Deshields, stated: ‘We look forward to London’s LGBTQ+ communities coming together again as we continue to show up for visibility, unity, and equality for all LGBTQ+ people.’

Pride events in August 2023 

The start of August sees the return of one of the most popular Pride events in the world: Brighton and Hove Pride. 

This year, Brighton and Hove Pride will be held on the weekend of Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6 2023. 

The glittering and glamourous Fabuloso event will see headline performances from the Black Eyed Peas, Zara Larsson, Confidence Man and Jax Jones on the Saturday, with Steps, Melanie C and Louise among the acts to take to the Main Stage on the Sunday. 

Fabuloso tickets can be purchased for individual days on Saturday and Sunday, with full weekend tickets also available. 

Other celebrations include the Pride Village Party, located in the Kemptown area of the city, sees businesses  celebrate Pride and raise extra funds for the Brighton Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund.

There will be live performances from DJs, drag artists and musicians as part of the Pride Village Party celebrations.

‘Pride at the Ironworks’ will feature cabaret, comedy and live music celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and diversity. 

Summer Pride celebrations will be rounded off by Manchester Pride Festival, which takes place in its traditional slot during the end of August bank holiday. 

In 2023, Manchester Pride Festival will be held from Friday August 25 to Monday August 28. 

Manchester’s iconic Gay Village will be a focal point of the celebrations, with Pabllo Vittar, Jake Shears, Natasha Bedingfield, Danny Beard, Jodie Harsh and Gok Wan among the notable names on the bill. 

In similar fashion to Brighton and Hove Pride, Gay Village tickets will be available to buy for individual days or for the entire weekend.
