House Rules star Jessica Dover announces devastating personal news: ‘Love you forever’
House Rules star and former AFL WAG Jessica Dover has taken to social media to share the news that her mother had lost her three-year battle with cancer.
The model and influencer shared a touching tribute to her mum on Instagram, saying she had had a “tough fight”.

Dover shared pictures of her mother doting on her as a child, and also shared a sweet video of her mum holding her grandchild Seb.
“My protector, my strength, my Mum. Thankyou for all that you were for Cain and I,” her post began, referring to her brother.
“We are who we are because of you.”
Dover wrote that her Mum was diagnosed with cancer a month before Dover’s son Seb was born, “so the last three years have been a tough fight”.
“How lucky we were that Seb got to spend these last years knowing his Nanny,” she said.
“You are the strongest person we know Mum, we will love you forever.”
Fans, friends and loved ones expressed their condolences after the loss.
“Oh Jess I’m so sorry angel. Sending you so much love,” wrote former Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers.
Actor Daniel MacPherson, Dover’s partner, dropped three white loveheart emojis.
“Thinking of you and sending you so much love,” wrote Nadia Bartel.
“I’m so sorry. Sending you so much love,” added influencer Chloe Szepanowski.
“I’m so sorry Jess. Your Mum always made me feel like one of the family all those years ago,” wrote a friend.
“She has raised such amazing humans in you and Cain and Seb is so lucky to have a Nanny as cool as your Mum.”
“I love you so much and she will always be watching over you and Seb!” said another friend.
“We will miss her terribly, she was the most loving and the coolest mum (she was like a second mum to me in our teenage years).”
In 2021, Dover split from AFL player Jared Petrenko, with whom she shares son Seb.
She and MacPherson went public after being spotted at the races in Melbourne in March.
MacPherson, who first rose to fame in Neighbours, split from wife Zoe Ventoura three years ago.
Dover and Petrenko starred in the 2018 season of Seven’s reality TV show House Rules.
