Inside Phillip Schofield’s £2m bachelor pad and unique living set-up with wife after quitting This Morning
Phillip Schofield agreed to step down from This Morning with “immediate effect” on Saturday afternoon. After weeks of controversy surrounding the presenter, amid rumours of a feud with co-host Holly Willoughby, the 62-year-old confirmed he was leaving his position.
He said: “So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
And as the heat rises, Phil could be taking a break in one of his plush homes – either his fancy bachelor pad or the family home he shared with his wife, reports the Mirror. The TV personality stayed in a huge country house in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire with his wife and their two daughters, but he moved out after coming out as gay in 2020.
He then reportedly bought himself a £2million large semi-detached bachelor pad in Chiswick, London – just around the corner from fellow ITV pal Dec Donnelly.
Although Phil came out in 2020, he’s still married to his wife and says he’s in no rush to get divorced. Speaking to Chris Evans on his podcast, How to Wow, Phil said: “I’m still married to Steph. With divorce… We’ve not discussed that at all. We’re picking our way through. It’s a work in progress.”
