Rangers pub The Bristol Bar threatened with liquidation as ‘wind up’ notice issued to court

The future is looking uncertain for a popular Rangers pub after a notice was issued asking for it to be wound up.

The Bristol Bar in Dennistoun closed its doors last month to undergo ‘important refurbishment works’ and was set to reopen on June 12.

However, the owners have now been issued with a notice asking for it to be wound up by the Court with a liquidator to be appointed if no action is taken.

Following the notice being given, The Bristol Bar or any other interested party has eight days to respond before a liquidator is appointed by the court to take control of the company’s assets.

The last post by the bar on social media explained: “We are going to close for a short period of time to carry out some important refurbishment works.

“These works will involve removal of large sections of the ceiling to install an air conditioning system and the overdue repairs to the floor tiles.
