A Memorandum of Understanding with the Society’s Bruce Local signed recently by the town formalizes the condo arrangement. Since at least 2014, the Society has provided the town with the units for use as temporary housing for residents, locums, or new physicians as they settle in Saugeen Shores.

A staff report said over the past eight years, the condos have housed over 250 doctors and led to the permanent recruitment of the local physician team.

A grateful Mayor Luke Charbonneau said the memorandum is proof of “both the Town and the Society’s commitment to our long-standing partnership to improve the quality of life for our residents.”
