Southeastern Railway diversions: Planned closures

Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines.

We have compiled all of the information about this work so that you can properly plan your travel this week.

 

Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, June 1:

The 11.50pm London St Pancras International to Faversham service will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham.

Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, June 1:

From 11.40pm until the end of service accessible buses replace trains between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings and will run between:

• Tunbridge Wells and Battle (calling at Wadhurst only)

• Battle and Hastings (calling at all stations except Crowhurst)

• Tunbridge Wells and Robertsbridge (calling at all stations)

• Battle and Crowhurst (mini bus shuttle)

Thursday, June 1:

• From 12.10am until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath. Trains will be diverted to run via Sidcup instead.

• From 12.20am until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Meopham and Sittingbourne / Gillingham. A connecting train will run from Sittingbourne to Ramsgate.

• The 4.17am Gillingham to Tonbridge service will start from Strood at 04:33. A replacement bus will leave Gillingham at 4am calling at all stations to Strood.

• The 11.07am London St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover Priory service will be replaced by an accessible bus between Dover Priory and Ramsgate.

 

Strike action is also taking place this week. Services on Wednesday, May 31, Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3, will be affected by planned industrial action.

Travel advice for Wednesday, May 31 and Saturday, June 3 There are no trains running and no replacement buses on these dates. Southeastern advises customers to visit traveline for alternative transport options.

Travel advice for Friday, 2 June: There will be a limited service running on the Southeastern network and some routes will be closed. Check before you travel.

If you are travelling expect some disruption, plan ahead and check your entire journey.

Trains that are running will be busier and are likely to start later and finish earlier.

Only 58 out of 180 stations will be open. No replacement buses will serve stations that are closed.
