Reports from Corriere dello Sport indicate Liverpool would face competition for him.

Kalvin Phillips could leave Manchester City this summer

Liverpool were tentatively linked with a swoop for Kalvin Phillips in the past.

And it appears as though the England player could be on the move, once again.

Phillips signed for Manchester City last summer and has seldom featured.

Reports from The Daily Star back in April suggested Liverpool were in the market for his signature. However, while The Athletic journalist David Ornstein reckons he could depart, proposed interest from Anfield might well have ended.

Liverpool pushing hard for Khephren Thuram transfer

Liverpool are pushing hard to make Khephren Thuram their next summer signing.

Alexis Mac Allister was the first man through the door at Anfield for an undisclosed fee.

Another midfielder is next on the radar for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Speculation over Thuram, 22, has gathered pace over the last few days and radio station
underline strong interest from Liverpool in the OGC Nice player. He will play for France at the upcoming U21 Euros this summer.

Chelsea ‘want’ Caicedo

Chelsea reportedly want to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton this summer.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that Brighton want more than £70 million for Caicedo and are keen on striking a deal that would include them signing defender Levi Colwill.

Man City reportedly held initial talks with RB Leipzig over the signing of defender Josko Gvardiol.

That’s according to Football Insider, who are reporting that Gvardiol is City’s top target as the club heads into the summer transfer window.

Liverpool transfer state of play

Liverpool will continue their efforts to rebuild the midfield following Alexis Mac Allister’s signing with France international Khephren Thuram one of a handful under consideration.

The ECHO understands that Nice star Thuram is one of several being assessed following an excellent individual campaign in France’s Ligue 1.

His form was good enough to catch the eye of France boss Didier Deschamps who named the 22-year-old in his squad for the March international fixtures where he came on as a late substitute in a 4-0 win over Virgil van Dijk’s Holland before being left on the bench for a 1-0 win over Ireland.

Kessie ‘will leave Barcelona’

Liverpool-linked Franck Kessie will reportedly be the first person to leave Barcelona this summer.

That’s according to Spanish publication AS, via Paisley Gates, who are reporting that Kessie is ready to accept a move away from the Nou Camp as long as the offer is interesting.

The report goes on to claim that the Spanish champions, who signed the African on a bosman last year, want a minimum fee of £30m (35 million euros).

Mac Allister on number 10

Alexis Mac Allister is Liverpool’s new number 10 after the Reds confirmed his signing on Thursday morning.

“I know how important the No.10 is in football. I had the possibility to take the No.8 as well, which is a big number for this club because of [Steven] Gerrard, of course. But I decided for No.10 because I used it a lot of times in Argentina, in Brighton, U23s national team as well. It’s a number that I really like and that’s why I chose it.”
